Pearl is a producer and line producer with over 21 years of experience across reality, drama, documentary, children’s programming, and commercial production. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is the founder of NwaChasiya Media, where she prioritises the training and employment of women. She previously served as SWIFT Treasurer and leads with a strong focus on mentorship and industry transformation.

Marion is a seasoned television producer with over 20 years of experience across major broadcasters including SABC, eTV, and MultiChoice. Currently a Producer at UCT TV Studios, she mentors emerging creatives and contributes to film education. She previously served on the SWIFT Board and is committed to strengthening national sisterhood and mentorship initiatives.

Loreley is a Supervising Producer, Line Producer, and Senior Lecturer in Producing at AFDA. With experience spanning documentary, reality, animation, and drama, she brings both production expertise and financial oversight to SWIFT. She is passionate about mentorship and creating structured opportunities for young women in the industry.

Rosemary is an entrepreneur, filmmaker, researcher, and sociologist whose work bridges visual storytelling and social research. She holds advanced degrees in Sociology, Forced Migration, and Film & Television, and is the founder of Marodi Productions. Her work focuses on heritage, migration, environmental awareness, and social transformation, integrating research with impact-driven storytelling.

Asanda is a writer, producer, performer, and media professional with qualifications from AFDA and City Varsity. Her career spans content research, script development, performance, and quality assurance, including work with leading production companies and the Films and Publications Board. She brings expertise in storytelling, content governance, and ethical industry practice.

Charmain is a multi-genre production specialist with experience in producing, production management, and post-production across scripted and non-scripted formats. She has worked on major platforms including Showmax and Mzansi Magic. She is passionate about strengthening protections and opportunities for women in the non-scripted sector.

More than a decade long experience in audit, finance and corporate governance. Experience ranges across government and the public sector. My skills also include non-executive director roles in both boards and specifically, audit and risk committees.

Also, a devout storyteller who believes in the magical power of story not only to change lives and unmask possibilities but to also unite people across all different walks of life.

With the diverse mix of skills, All I do is READ and WRITE, a small organisation concerned with literacy and storytelling to build and influence lives, especially, young ones, is found.

Sarah Dunmun qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010.

Following the completion of her articles with Pricewaterhousecoopers, she went on to join the consulting division of the firm.

Sarah resigned from the firm as a Senior Manager in order to actively manage her company, Afrizen Accounting and Consulting which she founded in 2021.

Sarah is the chairperson and member of the audit committee at 2 KZN municipalities. She also serves as a board member for an organisation called SWIFT (South African Women in film and TV).

Afrizen Accounting and consulting under Sarah’s directorship and management is a proudly BBBEE level 1 company whose purpose is to focus on relationships, delivering quality, value driven outputs and to focus on capacity building.

The company works closely with both government and private sector clients to strengthen internal controls, provide accounting and financial management support, tax support, develop credible financial statements, enhance the audit processes and improve audit outcomes.

Roanleigh is the founder and managing director of Cherubim Capital, a management consulting company focusing on:

  • Advisory services and due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions
  • Advisory services and access to partners in the financial services and technology industry
  • Providing access to international funding and intermediaries for major projects

A qualified chartered accountant , Roanleigh, with more than 20 years experience in banking in South Africa, has held senior roles including Executive roles in Retail and Business Banking, Head of Business Development, Head Commercial Asset Finance, Head of Investments. After starting her own management consulting company in 2021, she has experience providing consulting services across borders including US, UK, Australia and other African countries.

Norma has further experience with writing the remuneration report as part of the intergrated annual report; writing board remco papers; facilitation of the remuneration risk review panel; executive reward reviews and advising remuneration specialists on governance frameworks to inform reward decisions.

The management of the end to end Reward function, Organisational Design, HR MIS and Payroll Management are a key focus.

Zanele boasts over 25 years of experience in media and offers diverse expertise, gained through her work in local, regional, and international markets.

Zanele has served as the first Executive Head of Channel of Newzroom Afrika, a premier South African Black Owned 24-hour TV news channel and as Group Head of Content at Sabido Investments (now eMedia Group)

    Zanele is the current Board Chair of Sisters Working in Film and Television (SWIFT), a non-profit advocacy organisation committed to creating equal opportunities for women in audiovisual sector. She has also served as a Council member of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) an agency of government responsible for developing and promoting the South African audiovisual sector. She has served as a juror for the International Emmy Awards, Wildscreen Panda Awards, Guangzhou International Documentary Festival Awards, and the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs). She is a Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.

    Complementing her skills is a Motion Picture Medium degree in screenwriting and creative directing from AFDA, and she is currently completing her honours degree at Vega School of Advertising. Her professional development includes a certificate in Brand Management and Copywriting for Online Marketing from UCT.

She has appraised existing systems/processes, identified loopholes and suggested preventive measures and contributed to the efficient functioning of various organizations throughout her work tenure. She has developed effective employee documentation, and management systems for staff.

    She has excellent leadership skills with an ability to motivate staff and management to attain organizational goals.
